BLUETTI Charger 2 DC-DC Charger
The BLUETTI Charger 2 DC-DC charger turns your vehicle into a true mobile power source. It allows you to recharge your power station directly from your vehicle’s alternator and solar panels, without constantly plugging and unplugging your setup. Compact yet powerful, it can also supply power to your 12 V and 24 V equipment. This means your power station recharges while you drive, giving you maximum energy independence on the road.
- Charging power: Up to 1,200 W to your power station.
- Alternator input: Up to 800 W (12.8 V or 25.6 V).
- Solar input: Up to 600 W, 13–50 V, 20 A.
- DC output: Up to 600 W via hub (USB-C, cigarette lighter socket, and 50 A Anderson).
- Battery port: Up to 1,000 W for expansion via Battery Link.
- Dimensions: 265 × 169 × 70 mm, weighing only 1.59 kg.
- Control: Real-time monitoring and management through the Bluetooth app.
This setup is particularly useful for camping and overlanding. For example, combining alternator and solar charging allows you to recharge your power station much faster than with a standard cigarette lighter socket. In addition, the DC output can directly power equipment such as a portable fridge or lights without unnecessarily using an AC inverter.
BLUETTI Charger 2 DC-DC Charger Compatibility
The BLUETTI Charger 2 works with BLUETTI power stations, including the Premium 30 V2, Premium 100 V2, Premium 200 V2, and Apex 300. It is also compatible with approximately 95% of power stations from other brands. It can also be paired with the Hub D1 and BLUETTI Sora solar panels to create a more complete power system.
It integrates easily into a campervan, 4x4, pickup truck, or overlanding vehicle. This allows you to build a true off-grid power system that collects energy while you drive and while your vehicle is parked in the sun.
Alternator and Solar Charging
One of the main advantages of the Charger 2 is its ability to combine multiple energy sources. While you drive, your vehicle’s alternator can provide up to 800 W. When solar panels are connected, the solar input can provide up to 600 W.
Together, these energy sources provide up to 1,200 W of charging power to your power station. Every drive becomes an opportunity to quickly recover battery capacity while also taking advantage of available solar energy.
Camping, Vanlife, and Overlanding Applications
For a weekend camping trip in Canada, the Charger 2 can recharge your power station while you drive to your campsite. Once you arrive, your solar panels can take over to help extend your off-grid autonomy.
On a multi-week road trip, the benefits become even more significant. Every drive helps recharge your system while your 12 V equipment can continue operating. This reduces your dependence on shore power and serviced campsites.
For vanlife or extended off-grid adventures, the Charger 2 makes it possible to build a much more self-sufficient power system. Your fridge, lighting, electronics, and other equipment can be powered every day while your system takes advantage of both alternator and solar charging.
Practical Tips for the BLUETTI Charger 2 DC-DC Charger
During installation, first position the 75 A fuse near the vehicle battery. Then connect the MC4 cables and bidirectional cable according to the installation manual. Once the system is configured, the Bluetooth app makes it easy to monitor energy flow and charging performance.
Before making any connections, check the polarity and condition of the connectors. Since the Charger 2 is rated IP20, install it in a dry, protected location. A proper installation will provide fast, convenient, and reliable charging throughout your off-grid adventures.
