European Materials and Premium Manufacturing

For over 30 years, James Baroud has been building high-end roof top tents known worldwide for their durability. All materials are sourced from Europe to ensure uncompromising quality.

Hard shells are manufactured in Milan, Italy, while the technical fabric comes from the Netherlands — from the same supplier used for certain NASA textiles. Seams are stitched with Gütermann threads from Germany for added strength. Each tent is hand-assembled in Porto, Portugal, delivering top-tier finishing and an exceptional 5-year warranty.

Reinforced Fiberglass Shell

The multi-layer shell withstands the toughest conditions: snow, intense heat, heavy rain, and strong winds. Its gelcoat protects against UV exposure and prevents premature wear.

An integrated solar fan continuously refreshes the air, significantly reducing condensation. In addition, self-locking latches secure the closure even on rough trails.

Patented Waterproof Fabric

The multi-layer fabric repels water and blocks UV rays while remaining breathable. This combination limits condensation and maintains a comfortable interior climate.

Three doors and 360° panoramic windows improve airflow and provide an open view. Tear-resistant mosquito screens keep insects out, while rubberized zippers remain quiet, even at night.

Double-stitched edges add durability and longevity, making this tent ideal for intensive use.

Integrated Solar Fan

With an airflow rate of 19.2 m³/h, the fan refreshes the interior quickly. It runs for up to 24 hours thanks to its internal battery, automatically recharged by the sun. As a result, you stay dry and cool, even in summer.

Secure Latches of the pop-up roof top tent

Self-locking latches prevent accidental opening. They’re padlock-compatible for added security. On rough terrain, they keep the tent fully protected.

High-Pressure Strut Arms

Hydraulic struts enable fast, effortless opening. They tension the fabric perfectly, improving wind resistance and overall stability.

High-Density Mattress of the pop-up roof top tent

The 65 mm mattress made from dense foam (28 kg/m³) delivers excellent comfort for extended nights outdoors. The washable cover makes maintenance easy. Optionally, an anti-condensation mat improves airflow and reduces moisture.

James Baroud Portable Light (optional)

The included rechargeable USB light offers multiple modes: white light, red anti-insect light, and reading mode. Thanks to its magnets, it easily attaches to the shell or inside the tent. Its 360° rotation lets you aim the beam exactly where needed.

Interior Storage

A ceiling net holds light clothing, while Velcro side pockets keep phones and accessories within reach. When closed, 20 cm of interior height allows storage of pillows or sleeping bags.

Included Ladder with the pop-up roof top tent

The telescopic ladder extends up to 2.4 m and supports 200 kg, ensuring safe access. Its anti-slip steps and rubber feet improve stability on all terrain. An XL version (3 m) is also available.

Mounting Clamps

Adjustable clamps (30 to 85 mm) are made from high-density polymer resistant to freezing and rust. With a tightening torque of 14 Nm, they ensure a solid hold during off-road use.

Mounting Rails

Rails under the shell, spaced at 65 cm, allow mounting on 2 to 3 roof bars (45 kg each). Installation is simple using a 6 mm hex key.

For optimal safety, do not exceed 100 km/h when the tent is installed.

Compatibility of the Pop-up roof top tent

The Evasion M fits most standard roof racks. Check your vehicle’s dynamic load rating (often 75 kg). Compatible with James Baroud awnings, annexes, and 4-season insulation.

Add a portable diesel heater or a solar system for a fully autonomous camp. As a result, you turn your vehicle into a true off-grid base.

Uses and Practical Scenarios

For a weekend, the tent deploys in seconds, offering great airflow and open views. For extended road trips, its rugged build and interior space simplify family organization.

In winter conditions, its weather resistance delivers stable protection. With added insulation, it becomes a true 4-season tent, even in colder regions of Canada.

Practical Tips for Campers

Stabilize the tent on uneven ground using the integrated level. Activate the solar fan to minimize condensation. For weekends, choose easily accessible sites in Alberta’s parks.

On road trips, regularly check the clamps and add a portable light for evenings. This way, you maximize both safety and comfort.

For extended off-grid stays, install an anti-condensation mat and plan solar power to maintain autonomy.
